8 months after chin reduction and unhappy with chin and jaw area - what can be done to make it appear softer? (photos)

I feel like my jaw/chin is so strong. I had a chin reduction about 8 months ago which did reduce the projection of my chin jutting outward but I still feel like this area looks so strong and I just wish it could be softer looking and not so long if that makes sense. What can I do ?

Usually, the difficulties with chin reduction are caused by the soft tissue chin pad. Looking at your photos, I would recommend some fine tuning. A "chin tuck" of the soft tissue pad can be performed from a submental approach reducing the projection of soft tissue. In addition, I have been injecting the "fibrofatty" tissue of the chin with Kybella. This is a product sold by Allergan (Botox) and it destroys the fatty component of the chin pad. These injections are repeated at one-month intervals and take 3-4 appointments. I have obtained some nice results using these techniques to soften and feminize the chin.

We do this often in my office. The key is to consider the various aspects including bone and soft tissue.  Typically we will want to reduce both areas to get the best outcome. It's likely good the first surgeon didn't take away too much as you don't want to have loose hanging skin if they weren't prepared for that.
