I am a woman with hair growing on my chin. It's not much but maybe because I tweezer it every single day. Could I get laser hair removal if I have already plucked the hair. I am too self conscious to go a day without plucking.
Answer: Laser hair removal and plucking Hello,Thank you for your question. Most lasers find the shaft of the hair and then use the follicle as a travel agent to get to the bulb. Damaging the bulb of the hair will give you the most permanent result. Therefore, you will not want to pluck prior to a laser hair removal treatment. If you need to pluck, just make sure the hair grows back before your next session. Good luck.

Answer: You’ll have to wait for the hair to grow back for laser treatments to be effective. Yes, you will unfortunately have to let the hair grow back in order for laser hair removal to be effective in that area. But what you can do is shave the hairs instead of plucking them, since shaving doesn’t completely remove the hair. That way, the laser is still able to target them, and you don’t have to deal with noticeable chin hairs in the meantime. Keep in mind you may need more than one LHR session to see the best results, depending on how much hair you’re treating.

In order for the laser light to be effective hair needs to be visible on the surface of the skin. So if you plucked your hair you need to wait for it to grow back. Answer: Laser Hair Reduction You would have to wait til the hair grows back before to get laser treatments. During the treatment, the follicle needs to be zapped. Plucking removes what needs to be treated. It's best to schedule a consultation with a laser specialist to see if you are a candidate for this procedure.
