Can I get breast reduction, fat transfer to hips and maybe butt all in one procedure?

Ok so I know these two procedures are difficult due to recovery time. However two in one for me is cheaper as well as convenient (due to time off work, kids, etc). I would like to know if any dr's performed these two surgeries at one, HOW DID YOUR PATIENTS MANAGE? Such as sleeping? Did they use a recliner? pillows? Was there any major complications because of this? Anyone that had these done, feel free to comment! : )

There's no reason these two procedures cannot be done at one time if you are in good health. The logistics of postoperative comfort are really not that complex.

You can absolutely have multiple procedures at the same time as long as it is completed within an appropriate amount of time.  In my practice, there are 2 board certified plastic surgeons who work together as a team decreasing anesthesia time, operating time which leads to a quicker recovery time and happy patients.  We perform combination procedures every day because we make it safe!

Thank you very much for your question.  Combined procedures are quite common and a convenient way to minimize costs and recovery.  As long as you are healthy without any medical problem, close to your ideal weight and understand the process, it can be done quite safely.  It is possible to get a breast reduction and fat transfer to the hips and buttocks together.  The breast reduction recovery will likely be the easiest of the two.  Usually when these procedures are combined we ask patients to change positions frequently and try to lay on their side for the first couple of weeks.  Sitting on pillows on the thighs also helps to keep the pressure off the buttocks.  While this is what is generally recommended, there is little to no data in the research literature to support this recommendation, it just makes practical sense to us.  Hope this information helps! It is quite possible to have a breast reduction and a brazilian butt lift if you are healthy and your surgeon can complete these within a reasonable amount of time.

Thank you for the question. Generally speaking, combination surgical procedures are done routinely. However, you are wise in being concerned about the safety of combination surgery; risks/possible complications do increase with increased length of surgery…  
It is best to evaluate each patient's suitability for combination surgery on an individualized basis. During this consultation process, after a complete history and physical, the SAFETY of combining these surgical procedures becomes of paramount importance. Plastic surgeon, anesthesia provider, duration of surgery, surgery facility all important considerations. Your best bet: choose your plastic surgeon very carefully; everything else including good judgment/advice/planning, anesthesia provider and safe surgery facility will follow. Best wishes.

If a patient is in good health, it may be possible to combine a breast reduction along with fat transfer.  As with any procedure there are risks and you should discuss them with  your surgeon.
