Had periareolar incision 4 weeks ago? One of my incisions looks really weird is it normal? (photo)

My doctor says its my dissolvable stitches but I'm concerned about the overlapping skin, it looks like more than a few cuts were made to me,this was my bad breast it still tender now and a little more swollen than the other one.my PS is great and I've seen other patients that their work is amazing. I do trust him,but I'm really scared how this incision looks specially compared to the other one.

This incision certainly does not look normal, especially for being 1 month after surgery. But it doesn't mean for certain that it can't improve. I would suggest simple massage of the scar and time. If after 4-5 months, it has not notably improved, the scar could be easily revised with a small procedure with just local anesthesia.

scar maturation takes place over months, not days.  At this point your scar is not even at maximum strength. after that, the scar, slowly, begins to remodel, taking away excess scar tissue and refining the actual incision.  Give yourself time and enjoy your new curves!

I would have your surgeon look at this. The picture appears to show a visible portion of the permanent  white periareolar suture located just to the right of the "bunched" up skin. This may be just a photo artifact, but I would recommend you have it checked.

You are very early in the healing process. Take comfort in the fact you like and respect your surgeon. You took care in choosing him. Scars go through a healing process that takes months not weeks.
