Most vein experts are not experts on the face. Near the eyes, foam or liquid sclerotherapy is dangerous out of concern for visual blindness, thus micro phlebectomy or even simple venous disruption is a viable and much safer option. Use of advanced imaging or at least a vein light can be an excellent adjunct in defining and treating this problem.

Sclerotherapy can safely be performed on forehead veins (and most facial veins for that matter). It is understandable how many docs shy away from this area, as there are potential dangerous complications if performed incorrectly. Seek out the care of a board-certified phlebologist in your area, and they should know how to treat this issue. Good luck!
