Once you have fully re-epithelialized (no more open wounds or weeping), it is safe to apply makeup or get a spray tan. A spray tan is certainly MUCH better for your skin than a sun tan!Andrew Campbell, M.D.Facial Rejuvenation SpecialistQuintessa Aesthetic Centers
Thank you for your question. I would wait until you are healed from your laser skin resurfacing, however, you should be following the recovery guidelines provided by your board certified facial plastic surgeon.Best wishes,
I would apply Elevase Moisture Booster with ceramides to restore skin integrity for about one week. You may get a spray tan once the skin heals a little more. Best, Dr. KaramanoukianLos Angeles
Thank you for sharing your question. After the skin returns to its normal color it can be spray tanned. Make sure to use sunblock as well.Good luck,
Do not spray tan (or sun tan) until you are fully healed from the laser resurfacing and all redness has resolved.
Yes you can, I would wait till you have fully peeled but technically it shouldn't hurt your healing. Best, Dr. Emer.
There are a number of different erbium based resurfacing systems on the market today. The amount of time before it would be advisable to get a spray tan entirely depends on the system and depth of treatment. Assuming you had a fractionated treatment, if you still have any exfoliation (the peppery appearance of your skin) it is too early. You should wait until this has entirely fallen off and your skin returns to normal (no more oozing, tenderness, dryness). For most treatments, 2 weeks post treatment would be about reasonable. I'd encourage you to ask the performing physician for his or her specific guidelines.
Yes, it is safe to apply topical make-up and a self tanner after the skin has healed which takes anywhere from 5-14 days depending on the depth of the treatment and how quickly your skin heals.
Hello and thank you for your question. It is difficult to answer you question since you did not specify the depth or degree of your erbium laser resurfacing or how much time has passed . Erbium laser resurfacing can be as deep as a superficial polish where you can wear makeup in 24 hours or a full field resurfacing that results in a downtime of 7 plus days. The best approach would be to discuss this with your provider to ensure your safety.
I'm not sure what treatment you had for your rosacea. For rosacea, I like a combination approach, using lasers (Clear + Brilliant, ProYellow, Pulsed Dye/Vbeam, Excel V), peels and botox to the cheeks. This makes dramatic changes in color and symptoms. I recommend getting a formal evaluation wit...
