How long will I have to refrain from jogging / running after I have Nova threads put in?

7 days is the typical timeframe that I suggest to avoid vigorous exercise to prevent any complications with the threads. Threads work best when cared for properly, therefore it is ideal to avoid anything that might displace them immediately after procedures such as exercise, harsh rubbing or exfoliation of the area, and I recommend sleeping on your back for the first 3-4 nights. Everyone heals differently therefore it is important to monitor your healing and make sure the ports are fully healed before returning to vigorous exercise. Going forward, I would recommend you to complete multiple in office consultations with board certified plastic surgeons to discuss your ideal aesthetic goals. This way, they can better assess your face and create an ideal treatment plan for you.

Downtime after getting a thread lift is usually a month. This means no dramatic facial expressions, no running, and nothing that could move your face around too much. If you are planning on a marathon, I would wait until after the marathon to ensure that you have plenty of time to recover after the threads. There is a possibility that it will take longer than a month, so it is better to play it safe and wait.

Most patients can resume normal activity within one to two weeks. Keep in mind every patient is unique and heals differently.
