I’m in the middle of taking Isotretinoin (60mg a day). Is it OK to get my eyebrows tinted and waxed?

If I am not allowed to have them waxed is threading an option that will be ok?

Thanks for your question.  I would recommend holding off on waxing or any kind of procedures in the delicate eye/eyebrow area while you are on accutane.  The skin is very delicate and more likely to react to any chemicals or procedures while on the medication.  You can very gently pluck any unwanted hairs, but don't get too aggressive with anything that might make your skin irritated.  After you are finished with your accutane therapy, you can consider procedures again, but just be very conservative while on the medication.  Best of luck, and I hope you love your accutane results!

Thank you for your question. A common side effect of Accutane (isotretinoin) is skin sensitivity and increase risks in scarring when any trauma is done to the skin, which includes waxing. Threading or shaving is an alternative to waxing. If you have further questions about treatment, I highly recommend you consult with your prescribing physician. Take care and good luck.
