Hi, I’m in my mid 50’s and have lost volume in my face. I’m a slim woman so I guess this normal for some one of my age My question is what are my alternatives for adding volume to my face. That will last. I have had fat transfer to the cheek area and the suborbital area about 3 times. Over a 10 year period. I all so had a mid-face lift about 7 years ago
Answer: What is your opinion on the best way to treat my stomach and flanks? The new Juvederm's VOLUMA injection can last over 2 years at the correct amounts being given........

Answer: Facial volume There are many options for adding volume to the face. Depending on where the volume is needed, the type of product indicated would differ. With a history of fat transfer to the cheek and infraorbital area and a midface lift, you probably would benefit from some volume to the malar and sub-malar area. The new product which is perfect for this would be Voluma. It lasts approximately 2 years (manufacturers data - it has not been around long enough in the United States to have any personal experience with longevity). If you feel like your cheeks have also lost volume, Sculptra is a great choice. It too lasts approximately 2 years. Both of these options tend to give a more predictable outcome when compared to fat transfer because they are not living tissue. Due to the nature of transferring fat, a large portion does not survive and it is a bit more difficult to achieve the exact result you are looking for. Visit a local surgeon and discuss your options - depending on your individual anatomy, they may recommend another option.

Answer: Replacement of lost volume in the face When treating problems due to volume loss such as cheek hollows and sagging skin, I will almost always use stimulatory fillers such as Radiesse or Sculptra. They are injected deeper beneath the skin and will generate more volume to create a much better lifting effect for sagging skin. They work by stimulating your skin to produce more collagen, which is why they are so effective for problems due to volume loss, and give longer-lasting results too.

Answer: How to Add Volume to the Face There are only 3 ways to add volume to the face, fat grafting, injecting a filler and use of an implant. My preferred method is fat grafting. I have had much better success than you indicate you have had. There are 2 fillers that work well for this area, Radiesse and Juvederm Voluma. Both are strong enough to hold the area up and last well, Radiesse about 18 months and Voluma 2 years. Implants are limited to standard sizes and are harder to individualize.

Answer: What are my alternatives for adding volume to my face that will last? Without photos, it is hard to give you exact advice. There are several solutions from fillers (Voluma) to Sculptra to cheek implants. Photos would be very helpful for more specific advice.
