When will my skin smooth out after Fraxel Dual?

It can take a few weeks for your skin to heal after a Fraxel treatment, so what you are experiencing may be normal. That being said, I highly recommend a follow-up with a board certified facial plastic surgeon or dermatologist to ensure that you are healing properly - you may need oral antibiotics or a topical treatment to address the issues you are concerned about. Once the sandpapery texture flakes off, there can be some redness and it can take a few weeks to see the result. If someone is prone to acne, there can be a flare which a dermatologist can treat.

It can take some time for the peeling to resolve and breakouts to go away. Sometimes the acne needs medication to control. I would suggest having your provider take a look at your skin because most of my patients recover quite quickly.
