How often can I get Fraxel Dual laser treatments?

Question

I’m Asian, have sagging jowls and hyperpigmentation. I’m concerned about making hyperpigmentation worse, but want the maximum results of multiple laser treatments. What’s advised for my situation?

I recommend once every 4 weeks, no sooner. The fraxel sessions can be spread over larger stretches, such as 2-3 months without any negative impact on results.

This is going to largely depend on the skin condition that will be treated. There are patients who may only need one treatment to get the results related to sun spots and enlarged pores. But for deeper wrinkles and scars it may take more than one session. Regardless, your skin will look refreshed and smoother after just one treatment. It generally takes three weeks for your skin to heal between each session, so this is approximately when you will come in for your next session.

Treatment with Fraxel will not improve the appearance of jowls.  Depending on the severity, Profound laser treatment may be beneficial in improving the appearance of premature jowl formation. In addition, Dual does work well for pigmentation issues and can be done every 4 to 6 weeks.
