Is it okay to use Benzoyl Peroxide and Tretinoin concurrently?

Hi, I've been using Stieva-A (0.01% Tretinoin) for awhile now and have seen little to no improvement. I am wondering if it's safe to use 5% Benzoyl Peroxide with it. My idea for a new regimen is to use the Benzoyl Peroxide in the morning, while using Tretinoin at night. But I've heard that if I use Benzoyl Peroxide with Tretinoin, they will cancel each other out? Thanks in advance for all the answers!
