Could I have ruined my tip rhinoplasty by blowing my nose?

Hi I had tip (and a little bit lower nasal portion grafting between the holes just for balance) rhinoplasty. My surgeon told me not to blow, but rinse with salt water. I have sometimes blown the nose, as it helped me clear it, in addition to the salt water, and had no major bleeding or strong pain from it. But, could I have ruined the results ? I am a bit afraid. Best.

What you described is not normal and your surgeon should be made aware of this.  There could be bacterial colonization (or worse) causing this.  Maybe some packing  material was left?  Don't assume this it's normal.

Hi @zzoe! This is a great question. Assuming your labs are normal and you are on thyroid replacement, you should be cleared for surgery. The anesthesiologist may require additional clearance from your endocrinologist to undergo an elective surgery.
