Visible lumps after Juvederm injections in nasolabial folds. Any suggestions? (photos)

This is my first time using any type of facial filler so I am concerned. I was injected with 1cc of juvederm yesterday for deep nasolabial folds and uneven lips I can feel and see how superficial the filler is under my skin, like two hard lines going down my face. The corners of my mouth also appear lumpy, and I can feel hard lumps in my lips. I'm freaking out over these results. Can I expect the juvederm to soften up and smooth out in the near future or was too much product used superficially ?

I suggest going slow and starting with a small amount and building from there. there will be less swelling long term.  Best, Dr. Emer.

If this is not better in 2 weeks you can improve this with venus legacy treatments and saline injections.  Try firm pressure for now. If you are unhappy, this can be reversed but I would suggest waiting for 2 weeks.  Best, Dr. Emer.

Normal look for early bruising.  Will probably look worse after a day or two!  Vascular occlusion does not occur often with lip injections.

Often this area requires a more robust filler like Radiesse or bellafill or even fat injections.  HA fillers like juvederm sometimes have an afinity to dissolve in these areas, you may need to try a more particulate filler like lyft.  I suggest seeing an expert.  Best, Dr. Emer.

You should start out with 1cc of filler and go from there. You do not want to overdo too much filler in the lips. It also depends on the look you are going for too. You can always add more filler to the lips if needed. Just remember if you are going to do your lips and you do not want to bruise...
