I've heard many opinions on the matter (e.g. "it's best to have a cosmetic surgeon do it") but no direct answer to the question. Understanding the difference between a Doctor of Dental Medicine (e.g. "teeth") and a cosmetic surgeon, it still seems sensible to me that whomever is doing my smile makeover, and rejuvenating the area surrounding the mouth with injectables would also handle fat removal from the cheeks. In Brazil, this is common practice but I don't see any dentists doing it here in the USA.
