Hi @RazorG. Yes, you are correct--those are nasolabial fold lines, but you would benefit from cheek fillers to help soften the appearance of the nasolabial folds.

I agree with Dr. Palmer that what looks like a nasolabial fold is likely a volume deficit in your cheek. That can be remedied with a filler such as Juvederm Voluma. Occasionally a small amount of filler is also required in the nasolabial fold area but I think Voluma is a great place to start. This treatments if performed by an experienced injector can create volume while still maintaining a masculine look. I agree with other doctors that you have volume deficit on the cheek and malar with apparent nasolabial grooves (folds). In addition to that, you also have drooping skin fold at the mouth corner to the cheek, malar, nasolabial fold, and mouth corner will most likely solve the problem. S-lift, minilift, or suspension lift are your surgical options as well.

Although you do have a bit of nasolabial fold lines, I believe your issue is that your cheek area is so flat.  Having some type of filler or implant to the cheek to give your face more angularity and fullness will help.
