3 weeks post op arm lipo. Could someone give me a timeline of when I should start seeing this soften?

I want to thank every doctor on here who has responded to my questions so far, you all are great. 3 weeks post lipo to upper arm, areas treated are hard. My surgeon said this is normal for the amount of fat removed.I am finally pain free and I was hoping someone could give me a timeline of when I should start seeing this soften and my results clearer. I see some but was hoping I could get a more detailed answer than 6 months.I am massaging the areas but am open to any other ideas to help.
