4 weeks post op, I am still swollen. Is this normal? (photos)

Almost all liposuction patients have significant swelling four weeks after the procedure. This may be a little more exaggerated in patients who had laser assisted or ultrasonically assisted liposuction.

Your photos show result consistent with 4 weeks post op. It usually takes at least 12 weeks for swelling to settle, so I am sure you will see improvement. Good luck

At four weeks post-op it is common to be swollen after liposuction. You have to give it time to settle down. Best of luck.

Hello, thanks for your question!It is normal to experience swelling 4 weeks after liposuction.   I will encourage you to continue to wear your garment around the clock and give your body a chance to heal.  Swelling after liposuction can take several months to completely go away.  Just keep in mind, that is some instances touch up liposuction may be required.  If you are significantly worried about your swelling, please contact your surgeon for a follow up.  Good luck!

At 4 weeks you are at least 30% swollen  compared to your final result.  It takes an average of one month per decade of age for all swelling to go away.  Looks like you have had a tummy tuck in the past, occasionally swelling persists a bit longer if it has a scar to cross.  Be patient, lumps are also normal and a normal part of healing from liposuction which will also resolve.
