I had Orchiopexy at 6 years old and I am wondering if it would be possible for me now being 23 to get a Scrotal Lift or Scrotoplasty in general?
Answer: Scrotum reduction afer orchiopexy I have been performing scrotum reductions for over 25 years and am in major plastic surgery textbooks. As far as I know, I was the first to publish a scrotal lift or reduction in the literature. The incision and technique depends on the shape of the scrotum as the normal scrotum shape and descent results. A previous orchiopexy can still have a scrotum reduction. These techniques have evolved over the years in an attempt to minimize scar visibility. I do not elevate the scrotum so high that it would affect sperm formation, hormones, or sex life, but I have not studied all these parameters. I just elevate the scrotum to the normal size and dependency. The procedure takes about two hours under general anesthesia. It is not very painful. If you travel, you can usually go home in a couple days after the procedure.
