I was in a not so stable relationship and I got my hair ripped out a couple of times. Will my hair grow back?

It grew back within six months not full lengths and not all of it I still have some bald patches and it feels sore everytime I place my hand on my scalp there was no bleeding or swelling it just feels sore

After 6 months if you don't see any grow it's possible that your hair will not grow back.You should see a professional hair loss doctor, to analyse your hair and maybe start some treatments which can stimulate your hair grow .

I am so sorry to hear what you have been through.  I hope your life is more stable now. Regarding your hair loss; pulling hair if it is chronic like tight braiding or repeated as people who manipulate their hair with styling instruments may damage their hair permanently.  If you don't see any growth after six months from the last assault, it is unlikely that it will grow back.  Plesae find a hair transplant surgeon with experience in female hair restoration and set up a consultation to start with.

It is impossible to determine if hair will or will not grow back in this particular case. This requires an in person examination so that the scalp can be properly examined. It is certainly possible for repeated pulling to give permanent hair loss. However, in the vast majority of cases where hair is pulled from the scalp, hair grows back. However, if pulling is repeated many times or if excessive with bleeding a greater chance exists for scarring to develop. It is such scarring that blocks regrowth of hair. Anyone with concerns about incomplete growth after episodes of hair pulling should see a physician who specializes in hair loss for consideration of a biopsy.

If your hair was ripped and as a result the hair shaft was pulled along with the hair follicle then the hair will not grow back. However if the follicles stayed intact then it may grow back. You hust have to wait and see.

First of all - congratulations on getting out of an abusive relationship!  IT is brave and difficult to take that step and you should be proud of yourself.
As for your hair, give it time.  It may take over a year.  A doctor who specializes in hair or a dermatologist can look to see if there are additional signs of regrowth with a dermatoscop.  Also, try minoxidil since this can speed regrowth of dormant follicles.

If you cut your hair, it will grow back. If you damaged it below the skalp skin, it might not but usually there is bleeding present when this happens
