I appreciate your question. Cost varies by geographic location, surgeon expertise, OR time, anesthesia, length of procedure etc. I would recommend that you go to The American Society of Plastic Surgery website and look for a list of board certified plastic surgeons in your area. You can call their offices in advance and ask for quotes prior to scheduling consultations. The best way to assess and give true advice would be an in-person exam. Please see a board-certified plastic surgeon that specializes in aesthetic and restorative breast surgery. best of luck! In our office, breast size per say does not affect cost. However, frequently patients have excess fat present near the back of their chest that requires liposuction or excess fat present in the armpit area. In those cases, there is an extra charge for the liposuction in those areas. Hope that helps!
Thanks for your question. Each surgeon may have there own policy, but I don't think that breast size should affect the surgeons fee; I certainly do not charge more for a larger breast. That being said, if the surgery takes longer because of the size, there may be increased cost as a result of longer anesthesia time and OR time. Best Regards.
The total estimated “cosmetic cost” is $7500-$7900, and this includes the surgical fee, facility fee, anesthesia, and follow-up care including a touchup procedure if needed. The higher cost is only related to the length of surgery and therefore the duration of anesthesia. My surgical fee is the same for all patients. Augmentation of the pectoral muscles has additional fees. I do not use drains or compression garments.
I appreciate your question. In my practice, I require transgender (and non-binary) clients who are considering a top surgery to have been on hormones for at least 18 months prior to their top surgery. The reason for this is that hormones alone may result in a decrease of breast tissue, in...
Hello redbulladdict Personally, I frequently use liposuction along with the double incision for larger breasts and some variation for smaller breasts depending upon the position of the Areola. And the female breast the nipple is often centered on the breast but in the male patient the nipple a...
Excellent question. In my practice, we understand that transgender patients are on a journey to aligning their physical body with their gender identity, and that the journey can be a long and sometimes difficult one. Our goal is to help you feel comfortable, happy, and confident in your ow...
Hello smurgler The reduction generally requires a periareola or “donut-type” excision. Again, this can be done with local anaesthetic in the office. There will initially be some irregularity of the incision with puckering that smoothes over 4 or 5 months. You should visit or contact your PS abou...
Hello,In almost all types of FTM chest surgery some breast tissue is left behind to avoid leaving a concave result. Generally the breast tissue is minimal and on testosterone the likelihood of growth of this tissue is minimal. As you are only 2 months after surgery your body is still a...
