Does Finasteride cause hot flashes?

Question

I am a male and I have used a low dose of finasteride only two times yet but I do think it causes hot flashes several hours after I took it. Is that possible and if so, what does it mean and is this alone a reason to quit the drug? Thanks!

Anything is possible but what is really occurring is something you need to explore with your doctor.  You need to have an understanding of why you are taking the medication as well as the potential side effects.  Give your doctor a call or go back for a recheck if you are having (or think you are having) issues with the medication.

I have not heard about this complaint with the drug. You have to be careful that you are not hyped up on some of the internet comments concerning Propeica (finasteride(. I would continue the medications with your doctor involved if this continues before abandoning probably the most effective drug for treating hair loss on the market. Your doctor should be able to manage this symptom and advise you accordingly.
