I was prescribed Aldactone for alopecia, but it caused me to develop interstitial cystitis. We recently tried a much lower dose of 25 mg, but I am not tolerant of spironolactone at all. I am already on a oral contraceptive and topical minoxidil. I am bummed because Aldactone worked so well to help my alopecia, I just cannot deal with the bladder issues. Is there anything that will do what Spironolactone does, but not cause me a side effect of interstitial cystitis?
