When can DOT Smartxtide Laser procedure be repeated?

Question

2 months post and absolutely no results. Skin took 2 weeks to heal was told high settings. Have very deep lines around the mouth, fine lines around the eyes. Sadly myself and others that are following my journey are not seeing anything happen yet. I would like to repeat procedure because I want improvement> Dr says it takes time and agrees another treatment could done "soon". When can this be done safely? Winter is a much better time for me to do this. Please give me your Professional opinions.

Thanks for your question. It is impossible to know without actual pictures of your case if you were a good candidate for C02 laser treatment in the first place. In the right hands and with the correct indications the results can be very good. A repeat procedure can be performed after 2 months of the first one. If your expectations for the C02 laser were not realistic then the results will be always disappointing. When a "facelift" or other surgical procedure would be a better choice the results of the laser will never be up to what you would expect to be since your original goal will never be met.
It would be best to request second opinions to address your concerns and see the best course of action.

Fractional Co2 laser resurfacing is a wonderful tool for rejuvenating the skin. Depending on the settings that were used, you can repeat the procedure in as little as a month. However, when aggressive settings are used, i usually recommend waiting at least 4-6 months before having a second treatment. Many patients wait a full year before repeating their laser treatment.  Please consider that the laser alone may not be the only treatment you need for the lines and wrinkles that are bothering you. In my practice, I often perform a lower face and neck lift and fat grafting when I perform a fractional laser resurfacing procedure.

fractional CO2 laser resurfacing is an outstanding treatment that can address
multiple aspects of aging in a single treatment. Full results can take 3-6 months to see and continued improvement is seen 6-12 months after a treatment. I recommend that my patients have a second treatment approximately three months after their first treatment if further enhancement is desired. Please

If there is a need for a second session, I prefer to do it after 2-3 months, your doctor is right, sometimes takes 3 months to see the full results. Photos before and after the procedure must be analyzed to assess the improvement.
