Could someone please tell me if the Alma Soprano Ice 2015 laser removal device works on someone with naturally red hair?

question.Lasers that treat for hair removal are attracted to the pigmentation in your hair. Blonde, red, grey and white hairs do not have enough pigment in order for the laser to have a good response for a treatment. To be sure, see two

In order for laser hair removal treatments to be truly effective there has to be enough pigment in the hair for the laser light to be absorbed.  Red hair typically does not respond well to laser assisted hair removal with any device.

The Soprano Ice is a diode laser, which is considered the gold standard for laser hair removal.  This type of laser is dependent on the level of pigment in the hair because that is what delivers the energy to the follicle to impede the hair growth.  Red hair can vary from almost blonde to auburn.  One way to help you determine how effective this treatment may be, check to see how dark the bulb of your hair is.  It can be difficult to tell, but the darker it is the better.  Also consider your level of expectation.  If you would be satisfied with a reduction, simply less hair to manage, it may be worth it to you to pursue treatments.  The best thing to do is have a consultation with assessment to better determine your candidacy.  As always, look for experienced technicians with the Medical Director onsite.
