I did have 6 sessions of IPL to get rid of the brown spot on my face. I did see a slight change in size and color but nothing impressive. What should I do now. I want to get rid of the spot completely.

Answer: IPL Photofacials and Lasers for Brown Spots Thank you for the photo. It is best to have the spot evaluated in person by a board certified dermatologist to get an accurate diagnosis. If this is a sun spot (lentigo) or thin age spot (seborrheic keratosis), and IPL photo facials did not work, then the next step is to try laser treatment. I have used a Q switched 532 Yag laser with excellent success for isolated brown spots. I have also performed spot treatment with an Erbium laser successfully. The good news is that there are options. Best to you.

Answer: IPL not effective on Brown spot There are other lasers that may be more effective on that spot. For one small spot like that, I would probably use an Alex laser. Hope that helps! Regards, Dr. DiPasquale
