Skin under cleavage between breasts is pulling very tight after BR. Is this normal and will it subside? (Photo)

I had a breast reduction 9 days ago, removed 650g + 700g. I am concerned about the result as the skin i pulling between breast is pulling very tight and has formed a stange fold underneath. I can not see this result is other breast reduction patients. Why has this happend, will it subside, if not can it be fixed?

Hi there, thanks for your question and congratulations on your surgery. Often, as breasts are reduced and lifted, the overlying skin is draped over the tissue. This can cause a tight sensation. Fortunately, this is usually temporary and should subside with time. Best of luck to you.

Hello! Thank you for including photos, and congratulations on your breast reduction! It is normal to feel tight skin after a breast reduction due to both swelling, and the nature of the procedure.  As the swelling subsides, the tightness will get better. Be sure to keep your support bra on as instructed by your surgeon, and to follow up as scheduled.

It is common to have a tight sensation after breast reduction.  A big part of the surgical procedure is to tighten the loose skin.  That, in combination with the post operative swelling can leave a patient feeling tight for a while.  It will take several months to completely heal.
