It can take several months and sometimes up to a year to see the final result after liposuction of the neck/chin. The more fat that was suctioned the longer it will take to resolve. Best to wait at least two weeks after the lipo to go for a routine checkup with the dentist.

If just a check up, I would delay the dental appt for at least 2 weeks to allow for initial healing and decrease infection risk.
My best guess is your plastic surgeon would recommend rescheduling your dental appointment. Personally I think it would be OK but it may be uncomfortable.I don’t think you’re going to be able to have a negative impact on your results but the day after the procedure you’ll be plenty sore and may find it uncomfortable to open your mouth wide.I would suggest rescheduling the dental appointment.Best, Mats Hagstrom MD
i have done over 1,000 Smartlipo cases in my office under local, usually with oral sedation (occasionally no sedation). i think it is fine to go the dentist and you definitely do not to avoid any dental procedures for 2 weeks. there is no medical reason for that suggestion, as far as i can tell.david berman md

Liposuction does not cause flatulence. Perhaps taking opioid pain medication during or after the procedure can lead to constipation which can cause different flatulence patterns.I suggest focusing questions on plastic surgery.Best, Mats Hagstrom MD
