I would avoid any dental work after cosmetic procedures for 2 weeks at least. please talk to your physician. we find that pre and post procedural hormonal optimization helps with healing (see link). Best, Dr. Emer.
It can take several months and sometimes up to a year to see the final result after liposuction of the neck/chin. The more fat that was suctioned the longer it will take to resolve. Best to wait at least two weeks after the lipo to go for a routine checkup with the dentist.
Hello and thank you for your question.I would wait at least two weeks. Let yourself heal. Please speak to your physician for his/her recommendations. Best of luck!
If just a check up, I would delay the dental appt for at least 2 weeks to allow for initial healing and decrease infection risk.
My best guess is your plastic surgeon would recommend rescheduling your dental appointment. Personally I think it would be OK but it may be uncomfortable.I don’t think you’re going to be able to have a negative impact on your results but the day after the procedure you’ll be plenty sore and may find it uncomfortable to open your mouth wide.I would suggest rescheduling the dental appointment.Best, Mats Hagstrom MD
