Has my dentist given be bad whitening trays?

Question

I started whitening my teeth using day white. Of course I got sensitivity with my teeth and gums. The problem is now I have finished my teeth aren’t really any whiter and my gums look as if they are receding. Personally I think The trays are quite loose and I have read that you should wipe away any gel that gets on your gums but my trays cover my gums about. Any advise thanks

Thank you for your question. A good way to check if your trays are too loose is to see if they fall off the plaster model that they were made on. This is a check a dental technician and the dentist themselves would / should have done before handing them over to you. Explain the situation to your dentist. Hello, I would recommend to request a new set of trays. If they are too loose material could be coming out thus decreasing efficacy. Many professional trays can be made in the dental office.
