Diastasis of rectus - shouldn't he have to revise this?

I had a tummy tuck/lipo 360 in 2021, which I thought went well, but was wrong. I’ve told him several times that my stomach should not have a bulge, to where it looks like a muffin top. I had more fat on my right hip than my left as well from the lipo. He said I must have gained weight. Several complaints and a CT scan later I’m told that I have diastasis of rectus and need to see a surgeon. I get full so quickly from eating small meals and feel so bloated after. Shouldn’t he have to revise this?

in case of diastasis recti and tummy tuck surgery, surgeons do repair it during the procedure. I understand your concern. However, without a proper assessment, it would be difficult to determine what is wrong. It is best that you visit your plastic surgeon for further assessment or ask for a second opinion. Only after a thorough examination, you can get proper recommendations and advice.

Since you waited over 3 years from your surgery, your surgeon does not "have to revise" your surgery. Before you consider surgery, please be checked for food allergies.

The surgeon may work with you as you are an established patient, however there will be a fee as this revision would include basically redoing the entire tummy tuck.  Be sure to discuss the difference between subcutaneous fat and visceral fat so that you are comfortable and confident in understanding what can be addressed with the procedure.

Since the surgery was in 2021 this is now 2024. The surgeon is not responsible to revise unless you pay a new fee. The new fee for complete revision tummy tuck to correct that would be $8000-$15,000. Best to virtual concert with to fully understand the issues.

To make an accurate assessment regarding the outcome of any plastic surgery procedure, we generally need to see a complete set of proper before and after pictures.
If you don’t have before, and after pictures, then ask your surgeon to forward the pictures they took.
Without seeing pictures, we can’t begin to make an assessment.
 From what you describe my best guess is that you have excess visceral or intra-abdominal fat.
This is the most common reason for bulging of abdomen after a full tummy tuck.
It’s also the reason people often feel bloated or full from eating after this procedure. 
The treatment for excess visceral fat is weight loss, not surgery revision.
Tightening the abdomen more will make the problem worse.
Muscle tightening on individuals who have excess visceral fat will cause increased intra-Abdominal pressure.
You may or you may not have a problem with excess visceral fat.
What you describe is common for individuals who do and without pictures we can’t really know.
Consider reposting with a complete set of proper before and after pictures.
The presence of excess visceral fat can usually be seen on preoperative pictures.
 Individuals who have this condition should be told about it during in person consultations so they understand the consequence and outcome of the procedure without successful weight loss first.
