Is my swelling going to get any worse? I'm 5 days post op ab lipo. (photo)

After walking around working all day my vagina gets so swollen. Today was by far the worst as it has moved now down to my thighs. Is this a good or bad thing? Normal? Should I be worried? Should I expect it to get any worse?

It is too soon to tell what your final results will be.  However you have what i call the "deflated balloon" look/  you were not a candidate for liposuction alone, you should have had skin removed at the same time. likely you have swelling which will last 3-6 months after your procedure. I rec...

Thanks for the question. It’s too early to comment over the result. First couple of weeks after the surgery you can back to work and couple of weeks later your permanent recovery will start. It’s possible to see some major changes in Liposuction results till the end of 12 months recovery....

I recommend following up with your Doctor about their protocol for compression garments. My patients wear customized compression after their procedures. For liposuction after care, I recommend adding hyperbaric oxygen and lymphatic massage along with your compression to help decrease swelling....

Yes its normal to feel hungry and thirsty after liposuction this typically resolves by 3 months. I suggest you see your physician about post surgical care and at this point be back in the gym enhancing your surgical outcomes.  Dr. Emer.
