Is It Normal for my Surgeon to Pick off a Scab on my Belly Button? (photo)

I am 3 weeks post op today and I had a full tummy tuck . I went to see my surgeon today and he picked off the scab on my belly button . Is this common for surgeons to do ? Also does my belly button appear to be healing good ?

Typically, drains can be removed when you are producing less than 25-30ml in a 24 hour period.  The final decision is up to your surgeon, so make sure to let your surgeon know how much fluid has collected.

It sounds like what you are experiencing with your abdomen swelling is normal.  It takes the body time to re-route all the fluid, but it will.  You have to be patient with the healing process, which takes up to 12 months.  It sounds like you may have needed a lifting procedure...
