The lipo of the side boobs was not done during my breast reduction surgery. I am disappointed that the axillary fat/side boobs were not removed after this was discussed during my consultations for my breast reduction. I am concerned I will need another surgery and healing time.

Answer: Excess Tissue of Lateral Breasts Thank you for your inquiry. Excess tissue of the lateral breast/chest wall is often best addressed with liposuction. As noted, this can be done at the same time as your reduction. If done later, I usually recommend waiting at least 3 months after your initial surgery. The recovery from liposuction alone would be much less than your breast reduction. Be sure to bring up your concerns with your surgeon at your next postoperative visit. Best, Dr. Kludt

Answer: Breast reduction and excess lateral chest tissue It is quite common for women who are larger to have excess lateral chest tissue. This can often be treated with liposuction or direct excision. Best of luck.
