The lipo of the side boobs was not done during my breast reduction surgery. I am disappointed that the axillary fat/side boobs were not removed after this was discussed during my consultations for my breast reduction. I am concerned I will need another surgery and healing time.
Answer: Excess Side of Breast Fat The "side boobs" you are referring to are actually not breast tissue but mainly fat on the side of your chest (lateral chest wall). It is best taken care of with liposuction.#sideboobs#liposuction#brafatfix

Answer: Side boob following breast reduction Your pictures demonstrate sub axillary fat and skin that remain after your reduction. Liposuction would be useful, however, with the degree of tissue that you have, you might expect some skin laxity following liposuction alone. If that is the case, resection of the redundant skin might also be necessary. It is unlikely that this would be treated without further surgery. This would best be discussed with you board certified plastic surgeon.Hope this helps.

Answer: Liposuction of the bra rolls a common adjunct to breast reduction. The area in question is actually beyond the breast proper. Liposuction can be done concurrently with breast reduction or this point in time as a separate procedure. Generally this can be done with oral sedation and tumescent anesthesia.

Answer: Excess Tissue of Lateral Breasts Thank you for your inquiry. Excess tissue of the lateral breast/chest wall is often best addressed with liposuction. As noted, this can be done at the same time as your reduction. If done later, I usually recommend waiting at least 3 months after your initial surgery. The recovery from liposuction alone would be much less than your breast reduction. Be sure to bring up your concerns with your surgeon at your next postoperative visit. Best, Dr. Kludt
