There is no guideline on the post operative management of skin after laser resurfacing. Some doctors believe the vinegar soaks help prevent infection and allow the skin to turnover more quickly (ie faster healing), but some believe it is just irritating and has no value given the use of oral antibiotics and topical wound creams.
