Although I realize that squeezing blackheads is tremendously bad for your skin, I have gotten in the habit of doing so for the past couple of months. I began squeezing blackheads on my nose, then chin and even my forehead. Now my skin is uber dry and even cracked in some areas (chin and nose mostly), and my forehead has significant damage in the form of red blotches (not protruding) on the surface. What is the best way to treat my damaged skin? Masks? Peels? Nothing seems to be working.

I would begin treatment with IPL Limelight, application of Melarase creams, and a set of light chemical peels to help address the melasma. The combination approach may further improve your melasma. Usually, patients tend to peel less so after multiple chemical peels. Best, Dr....
Our office specializes in chemical peels. After the chemical peel, we recommend daily exfoliation with Melapads as maintenance, plus application of Elevase Moisture Booster with ceramides to help with the skin moisture function. Best, Dr. Karamanoukian Los Angeles
Light chemical peels such as a Melapeel will target the pigment, plus application of Melapads twice daily will help maintain the exfoliation and skin lightening. Best, Dr. Karamanoukian Los Angeles
