Can IPL laser flatten scar tissue?

Question

I have two very small pimple like scars on my chin that are slightly raised. They came from cystic pimples. They are very soft. Apparantly they are too small for injections of cortisone and dermatologist said dermabrasion or fraxel would be silly for such a small area. Is there anything else i could try to even out the texture?

IPL is not the best option for contour scars. Fractional laser or sublative ematrix treatments are excellent options, even for the smallest scars. Best, Dr. Karamanoukian Los Angeles

You could try IPL there, or even better might be Laser Genesis. It tends to work very well on scar tissue. "This answer has been solicited without seeing this patient and
