Thinking about Punch Excision or subcision for acne scars. What would be the best option for my scars on both cheeks? (Photo)

At least from the photos provided, the predominant issues are ice pick scars and dilated pores. If this is indeed so, then TCA CROSS, rather than subcision (best for boxcar/rolling scars) would be indicated. TCA CROSS, which was developed in South Korea over two decades ago, is also safe as well as effective for all skin types. I share your concern about the use of CO2 laser resurfacing, especially in SOC. And, I am not surprised by the lack of success with microneedling, as this procedure is best reserved for a final superficial, "polishing" step to blend the color and texture of treated areas better with the surrounding normal skin. I have been performing microneedling for twenty-three years, and it is best reserved as final step, rather than as a primary, monotherapy treatment for acne scarring. Make sure to consult with a board certified cosmetic dermatologist with special experience in acne scar treatments. Best of luck.
