Question

I had a rhinoplasty 7 weeks ago and after the op I thought that everything is going well. The last 6 days I have noticed a smell like a dead animal. And my nose looks thick and burning pain just out of the blue. I have also noticed that it looks crooked and my nostrals are so not the same. One is long and thin and the other is round. I am devestated as this was my second one because the first failed and now I feel like this one failed too. I am afraid that something really wrong is happening

Hi Charmaine,
It is important to have your surgeon evaluate you and make sure you do not have an infection. Infection rates are a bit higher with revision and if synthetic grafts were used. As far as the appearance if the nostrils and the nose looking crooked, the nose is still very swollen at 7 weeks and you need to let the nose heal prior to thinking about further changes.
