Thank you for your question. The appearance of the abdomen after hernia repair depends largely on the size of the hernia and the type of hernia repair. Bulging at the site of the hernia can also be due to a fluid collection. Not knowing the size or your hernia or type of repair, I recommend you consult with your surgeon who will have a more information to help you determine the underlying cause of the bulge and what you can anticipate in terms of healing and resolution.
