I have my 1st thread lift scheduled in 2+ weeks. I also like getting treatments like facials & radiofrequency periodically. However, I don't want to mess up my thread lift results. How long after the threads can I have a facial? A week? 2? I've also heard conflicting things about RF—that it enhances thread lift results, & can ruin them by melting the threads. What’s the truth, & if RF is safe, how long after the thread lift? Anything else to avoid?
Answer: Thread Lifting and other procedures PDO threads for thread lifting are placed into the facial fat layer. This is well below the dermis which is where most RF has its effect. We tend to avoid "bulk heating" procedures over thread lifting for 3 or more months. If you are referring to RF microneedling- the heat from that would not disrupt the threads as it is occurring at a much more superficial level than where the threads are placed.

Answer: RF after threadlift You should wait at least 4 - 6 week after having threads to continue doing RF or else, if the depth is too much i'd would "melt" the thread. also I dont recommend to combine those procedures together: rather have 2 sessiones 2 months apart of threads or maybe 3 sessiones of RF microneedling

Answer: Non-surgical threadlift Thank you for your question. How exciting for you to have your thread lift in 2 weeks. As you may already know, it is crucial to follow the aftercare instructions from your doctor very carefully. This will ensure that your treatment results last as long as possible and help prevent any complications. Let's answer your questions: 1. How long after a thread lift can I have a facial? There is no clear answer to this based on any studies or research. However, it takes approximately four weeks for the thread to integrate correctly into the tissues. Until then, the risk that a facial causes the threads to dislodge the threads is probably quite high. 2. Can I have Radiofrequency after a PDO thread lift? This is a very good question. Radiofrequency is a popular treatment to lift the face. BUT: PDO threads take approximately 3 to 4 months to dissolve. During that time, they stimulate collagen and elastin in your skin, which gives you a continued lifting effect after the threads have dissolved. Radiofrequency generates heat, and PDO threads dissolve with heat. Given that, I would not recommend Radiofrequency during 3 to 4 months after the procedure as this would dissolve the threads faster and, as a result, they will stimulate less collagen and elastin. This could mean less lifting for your face. But once the threads have dissolved, after 3 to 4 months, Radiofrequency could certainly help stimulate more collagen and elastin and enhance the lifting effect. So, I would personally recommend it after 4 months.
