So I did a stupid thing. I had emax veneers placed in Colombia and I have been absolutely broken about them. The color is fine but the shape is squared off and jokerish. I placed them originally to close off a slightly open bite and white my teeth. I am wondering if it’s possible to round off the teeth and possible make the lateral incisors slightly shorter. I am willing to risk a small Amt of visible open bite to avoid looking so creepy. Is it possible to reshape/ round off the veneers?
Answer: Invisalign would have been the choice originally.. Your teeth were beautiful before and a quick 4 -6 month Invisalign would have corrected that easily, these veneers are beyond contouring and do not look esthetically pleasing at all, and just have to hope they didn't destroy too much tooth structure

Answer: Love the before photo vs the after! I've written two books on Smile makeovers both with the use of clear, aligners and/or veneers. I could probably, write a third book on all the cases that I have had to remake from those that went overseas to have their smiles enhanced. I'm so sorry to have to say this, but, the only solution here is to take off, all of the veneers that were done see what kind of preparation to the teeth and decide on redoing all the veneers in a more aesthetic treatment or if the preparations of tooth were aggressive there are times we must place porcelain crowns instead. This is why I urge all those out there looking for a smile makeover to save up and budget accordingly and have it done right the first time.

Answer: Beware of dental tourism I’m sorry this was done to you. I’m going to give you the same advise I gave somebody else. When investing in large cosmetic dental procedures, it is important to get a pre-operative wax up. This way you can see what your final teeth will look like before you ever sit in the chair. There is not much that can be done for your current veneers other than replacing them all. This is my personal opinion and not a diagnosis.

Answer: Let's get you the smile you deserve! It is possible to reshape the veneers. From the photos I can see, the veneers do not follow your natural contour of your lips and smile. Usually we need to remove the old dentistry and place correctly fabricated restorations that follow your facial aesthetics. More importantly we need restorations that allow for proper biologic form and function. You mention you had a anterior open bite. Sometimes this can be corrected with veneers, however, based on the photos there may be something a little more going on with the bite/function. This can lead to not only possible problems with the muscles and joints later in life, but can lead to uneven pressure/stress on the teeth. The veneers as you stated looked "squared off and jokerish". This is because of the design and porcelain ceramic used. To look more natural and life-like, we need to have the veneers designed and finished by a master ceramist.

Answer: Reshape veneers? Good morning. If I am to understand your submitted photos, the top picture was your teeth PRIOR to any treatment? If that is so, these restorations are completely overbuilt, bulky and poorly contoured. In my opinion, there is so much that needs to be adjusted, I am afraid the finish will be ruined--- therefore, I sadly would suggest that they be completely redone. ( make sure if you do that, to approve a tryin before allowing them to be bonded)
