Why is Ultrasonic Cavitation contraindicated for persons with HIV?

Hello, I'm a 48 year old HIV+ woman and for years I've been extremely subconscious about the cellulite on my thighs and buttocks. I've heard of ultrasonic cavitation and surgery scares me. However, I've heard about the contraindications for autoimmune diseases. I've researched this often and I've been unable to locate a concise answer. I'm currently on my HIV medications and I'm fully treatment adherent. Is it possible for me to have this procedure done at all? Thanks for the response.

I would not see a problem having a CoolSculpting treatment done 2 months after surgery to remove the gall bladder, as long as the area of the surgical incision is not affected.  An examination of you would be needed to determine if you might be a good candidate for the treatment or not.

It would be okay to have a CoolSculpting treatment if taking statin medications for high cholesterol.  The medication would not affect the results of the procedure and vice versa.
