The best treatment for lack of volume in the nasolabial area? (Photos)

In my mid 30’s and seeking the answer to the lack of volume along my nasolabial lines. I have had this issue since my tween years. Cheek implants will not work as I already have huge cheeks. I have a weak chin but I’m scared of the risk of a chin implant rejecting from my face. Should I use fillers? Fat grafting? Or Polydioxanone (PDO) threads?

You are quite correct in your concern that cheek augmentation with either implants or filler would be inappropriate in this case. Instead, a bolus of lifting filler, such as Restylane Lyft, placed in the pyriform fossa (the crevice to the sides of the nasal wings) would help to smooth the smile lines without affecting the cheeks. Belotero Balance, a less robust filler, may be used should any additional filler be needed for the lower portion of the smile lines, although I doubt this would be necessary. As to the chin, once again you are correct that there is significant chin retrusion. This can easily be addressed with a volumizing filler, such as Voluma XC, to create greater harmony between the chin, lips and nasal projections. Make sure to consult with an experienced board certified aesthetic physician and best of luck to you.  .

The best way to address loss of volume in the nasolabial fold area is filler. Restylane refyne works really well in that area of the face.

Two methods could accomplish this. One is injecting the piriform fossa with filler. Or using a canula close to the maxillary bone and depositing medium thickness filler.
