Hi @Brandy2909! If PDO threads are placed too superficial, you may feel and see the thread. I recommend limiting facial muscle movement for 1-2 weeks until the thread settles down to the tissue. Post procedure pain is typically normal which lasts a few days. Post procedure swelling and bruising should be minimal. I hope this was helpful!
Thanks for question.Unless you place the thread too superficial, you won't able to feel the thread. Also, right after the procedure, it is necessary to limit the facial muscle movement for a week. Especially yawning and laughing need to be limited until the thread settles down to the tissue.Thanks,Dr. Choi
Bruises and swelling may last up to 1 week. Asymmetry and wrinkling of skin up to 1 month. Threads can potentially come out of the skin for up to 3 weeks. The treated areas may be tender and painful during sudden movements. No intense or extreme exercises for at least 2 weeks, no yoga, no running, no activity where the head might be upside down. Please contact a qualified provider or a board-certified physician with extensive experience in these procedures.
Greetings thanks for your question, most of my patients are feeling it when they smile but its not unconfortible. There is no pain aswell.
Hi! Threads are a great way to lift skin and they can also smooth out wrinkles depending on what type of thread we use. The lifting threads are barbed and are designed to hold onto and lift deeper tissues. The smoothing ones are usually smaller and are not barbed. They are both made of the same material of suture that we commonly use in surgery. It is not uncommon that people feel a tightness after lifting threads are used. There is variable amount of pain post procedure and this can be felt initially while smiling or chewing, but usually only for a day or two. There is variable amount of swelling or bruising, if present usually it resolves in a week. Sometimes people can feel the threads, but one should not be able to see the thread. This sensation gets better with time. The material itself dissolved in 6 months, but results can last up to two years. All my best!
Hi! With regards to your brows, from the picture they look to be in excellent position. A brow lift regardless of means (surgical and non surgical) in my opinion would not be necessary. Threads that lift the brows would not address the horizontal lines effectively. There are smoothing threads...
With significant neck sagging you would need a facelift / neck lift with muscle tightening (platysmaplasty). At the same time, I would recommend lasers (Fraxel, CO2, Halo, or Erbium) and microneedling RF (Fractora, Morpheus8, PiXel8, Intensif) to improve the crepey skin and wrinkles. Overall,...
Hi @brooke0000! I recommend Morpheus 8. Morpheus8 is a non-surgical treatment for full body skin resurfacing, skin tightening, and fat reduction of stubborn areas. It uses minimally invasive fractional radiofrequency energy (RF) to penetrate the skin deeper than other microneedling devices,...
