The purpose of using thread lift with PDO thread is to cause scar tissue build up near the thread and it helps lifting the skin. Yes it will cause the scar but it will remain inside of skin so there is no visible scar outside.The scar tissue will not make difficult during future facelift procedure. The main difference is duration. PCL is much longer lasting than PDO threads. Otherwise, they can be used very similarly.
Hello Astro. Although we do not use threads and dislike the benefit compared to cost and side effects, we do not believe any are reversible. Surgically removed yes, but you probably don't want to consider that. Threads have approximately 38% complication rate and the period they provide...
I would not recommend PDO thread lifts with history of most any autoimmune disease, especially sarcoidosis. The risk of nodules and other complications is much higher in my opinion.
