Would chemical or glycolic peels help significantly diminish my lines? Are there any at home treatments such as Retin A or a specific moisturizer that would eradicate my indentations? Thank you.
Answer: Venus Viva RF combined with a light chemical peel can help even out skin texture Our treatments use combination therapy to improve the epidermis and dermis for most deep scars. The options available for acne scars depend on the character of your scars, in terms of topography and contour. We see atrophic and hypertrophic acne scars, as well as scars that have hypo and hyperpigmentation. We begin each scar evaluation with an assessment of scar quality and subtype. Our main concern is rebuilding collagen and that is why we use a HIDEF protocol that includes combination therapy. Morpheus 8, scar subcision, fibrous release, fractional laser, CO2 laser, Thulium laser, PDL Vbeam laser, and fractional resurfacing can be used in addition to TCA Cross and chemical peels to further improve skin. Patients should start Melarase AM and Melarase PM for active hyperpigmentation. Always begin with a consultation to decide whether early subcision should be started. Answer: Forehead lines Botox is great at softening forehead lines and wrinkles. Maintenance Botox, or with other neuromodulators, will also prevent those lines from getting worse with time. Deep lines may require a combination approach with laser resurfacing, micro-needling with PRP and dermal fillers. I hope this help. All the best, Dr Michon

Answer: What would be the best treatment for erasing my forehead lines and indentations? Hi visavisage, Currently, Botox or other neuromuscular relaxants like Dysport and Xeomin are considered the gold standard for the treatment of lines and wrinkles, specially in the upper third of the face. It is also used as preventative measure for developing lines and wrinkles. However, if you are not comfortable with injections, ask your Provider about microneedling, lasers or chemical peels. These are great if your passive lines aren't too deep. Unlike Botox, these three work by inducing collagen growth. It's not always an "either/or" scenario. These treatments are complementary. All the best, Justin Harper, M.D.
