1) Is there a certain percentage where the systematic is equivalent to 1mg orally? (Any studies on that? i.e does 0.5% reduce DHT as much as 1mg orally?) 2) Is there an optimal base to mix topical finasteride with? (As is could be mixed with minoxidil and with bases such as liposomal, ethanol and botanical bases?) 3) After having experienced side effects on oral finasteride is topical finasteride the best line of defence against hair loss? (As LLLT and PRP seem to have limited evidence?)

topical finesteride doesnt get absorbed. start at home growth factors, dermarolling, oral vitamins, and in office prp (see link to emeragecosmetics.com hair growth package i use this daily).
I suggest a formal consultation as there are a combination of treatments that can be done to improve har loss.  Oral finesteride has very little to no side effects in the majority of people; PRP/platelet-rich plasma + stem cells like A Cell help regrow hair and slow down the thinning process; rogaine and restorsea spray should be used daily; oral viviscal helps keep nutrients high in the follices as well.  Transplantation is a last resort but works early in the aging process as well.  A formal consultation and combination treatment is needed.  Best, Dr. Emer.

Although topical finasteride, especially in a liposomal compound, is designed and show to stay at the skin level, some of it will flow into your body from the skin. I have seen people with side effects on the liposomal finasteride
