I have bulging veins in my forearms and hands. It's not from working out or doing any activity. Even as I'm sitting, they popout. When I raise my arms up, they shrink. My cardiologist says it's the beginnings of chronic venous insufficiency. Several places have agreed to treat the veins in my legs, but what about my forearms/hands? Can sclerotherapy be used? Laser? Any other options for an otherwise healthy 27yr old?

Answer: Microphlebectomy for forearm veins and hand veins
After being treated with a laser, it is common for veins to change in color. You can often expect to see darkening of the veins after treatment, and then a gradual lightening. I would not be too concerned with this occurrence. However, speaking with your treatment provider about this issue could...
A temple vein can be safely treated by sclerotherapy ( injection of a sclerosant solution, actually foam).
A phlebectomy seems possible too.
A temple artery would be pulsating, a simple touch will tell you the difference.
See a vascular physician in your area if it is a vein.
