I'm very concerned about my face. The left side is OK, but the right side has red blotches and streaks and looks terrible. What's the chance of this fading? My doctor says it will but I have the feeling he's brushing me off. Using triamcinolone acetonide ointment 0.1% 3 times per day, along with cetaphil cleanser. How concerned should I be about these marks being permanent, and should I be using something else to get rid of these streaks and blotches?

This maybe a haematoma or blood clot, impossible to see, however a real time examination will be appropriate. If you could re- visit your plastics or dermatologist who performed this procedure, it can easily be corrected. All the best, Dr Davin S. Lim. Brisbane. Australia.
All CO2 lasers are not the same. even with the same laser you will have different results when performed by different doctors. I have been working with my CO2 lasers ( I have 4 of them) for more than 8 yrs. I have not had a problem in any of my patients (not yet). my advise would be to seek ...
Thank you for your question. Before every CO2 treatment, I numb each patient with lidocaine for 30 minutes and then begin the treatment. You dont need a strong pain medicine and the treatment takes about 30 minutes to complete a full face.
