Which laser is better for the removal of sunspots and freckles on Hispanic skin, PicoSure or PicoWay?

It's a testimony to the power of marketing and advertising to subconsciously sway our thinking that you ask the question, "Which laser...," rather than which treatment is best for your problems. Long before relatively expensive "bells and whistles" lasers came on the scene, sun spots (better known as "solar lentigines") and freckles were treated with a couple of tried and true, simple, relatively expensive techniques for fading them: 1) light electrodessication, where the superficial portion of the brown spot is touched by the current and then the pigmented area is simply wiped away with a gauze pad, and 2) the superficial application of high strength glycolic acid, Jessner's solution or low strengths of TCA. Lasers should be used with caution in skin of color patients, since there is a risk for the post-treatment development of post inflammatory hyperpigmentation (darkening) following treatment. You would be wise to consult with a a board certified aesthetic physician, and best of luck.

You asked a very important question about sunspots and your skin.  The best laser for your type of skin is the Alex-Trivantage since it has a different wavelength and setting for Fitzpatrick IV and darker even.  Burning and putting too much heat can have the opposite effect on your skin type so you need to be careful.  Please consult an expert in lasers and your skin type for the best cosmetic results.
